STREET SMITH

The other day, I had the pleasure of catching up with Melbourne street-style photographer, Street Smith for a few shots around our beautiful city.
I wanted to shoot my newest fashion acquisition, this incredible leather skirt, with perforated side detailing and new leopard heels.
I'm generally always drawn to a great leopard print, especially when it comes to accessories - a great way to add a statement easily to any outfit.

MONOCHROME
My first couple of weeks moving back home have been chaotic, between meetings and house inspections, which has meant keeping my style as quick and easy as possible. With this in mind, monochrome is failsafe.
This sports-luxe dress is the perfect to throw on, when I'm on the go, and Vintage Princess have come through with the goods with this beautiful leather carry-all.

TEAM PARIS
Flynn Skye dress | Team Paris sweater | ASOS shoes
In the last couple of years, I've been back and forth between LA and must say, it has quickly become one of my favourite cities. This time round, I chose to stay in the eclectic neighbourhood of Venice Beach, where I had the pleasure of meeting designer behind the label, Flynn Skye. An accomplished business woman, and genuinely kind and all round fabulous person.
Flynn Skye, represents the true essence of Venice Beach and the California-beach inspired lifestyle.
One of my favourite labels.

POSTCARDS FROM MIAMI
My first trip to Miami was a couple of years ago and was a place I immediately fell in love with.
Always a must return when I'm in the States, Miami is the perfect blend America, Latin culture and the beauty of the Caribbean.
For quick visits, I like to stay on South Beach, right in the heart of the action. I think some mistake South Beach for a party crazy part of Miami - it is definitely an experience, full of all sorts of nightlight and interesting characters, but it really is a great base to explore not only the South Beach area - shops, architecture and restaurants, but also greater Miami, and Florida Keys. South Beach for me is electric and eccentric.
This time I stayed at The Betsy Hotel, and absolutely stunning boutique hotel right on Ocean Drive. An oasis from what I affectionately refers to as Miami madness. Great rooms, lovely service and access to a private beach right on your front doorstep, which I definitely took full advantage of.
If you get the chance, I'd also highly recommend hiring a car and exploring surrounding Miami, including Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour (all your luxury shopping needs covered), and if you have a little more time, do yourselves a favour and make the 2.5/3 hour drive down to Key West, stopping at the many lovely and often secluded swim spots along the way.
Crystal blue waters, endless supply of palm trees and coconuts - a tropical wonderland.
In summary, when in Miami you MUST spend as much time sea-side as possible, water-sports mandatory, try some diverse and delicious and of course indulge in a little shopping.

FRIEND IN FASHION FOR CHIP CHOP!
A short while back, I had the opportunity of teaming up with one of my favourite Melbourne labels, Chip Chop to model their new 'blogger inspired' collection, #todayimwearing.
Channeling my 'inner-Cher' - think 90's Clueless, I had a ball, dressing up and again shooting with one of my favourite (and super-talented) photographers, Mishy Tran. Check out our first campaign collaboration here.
Chip Chop is all things bright, fun and a little bit French, so I was thrilled to team up with a brand I simply J'Adore.
The new Chip Chop collection, is available online now at www.chipchop.com.au
As for my travels around the world - I've just landed in Rio and having the time of my life - more on this soon, but in the meantime - you can follow my adventure on instagram @friendinfashion, facebook and twitter.

SOHO
I've been here in New York for a bit over 3 weeks now and what an adventure it has been.
To me, this city that never sleeps feels like the centre of the world. Always something exciting happening and always something new on the horizon. Amazing fashion, food and company.
I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity while here to collaborate with some amazing stylists and photographers on a series of projects, which I look forward to sharing with you shortly. Until then - you can get all the sneak peeks over on instagram @friendinfashion.
For now, a quick outfit snapped while running errands in Soho.

NYFW STREET STYLE PART II
Here is a look at my outfit for day 2 of NYFW, snapped running between shows.
I'm a big fan of slogan tees, and Zoe Karssen is always a favourite of mine - as you can see here in this earlier blog post.
During fashion week, I had quite a few questions about this skirt, which is one I designed a short while ago while travelling through Bali.
A leather skirt is such a versatile piece, and has served me well through my travels.

PARIS STREET STYLE
There is something about a full skirt dress, that makes me want to spin circles and pick roses. The fact that I was in Paris taking these photos was the cherry on top.
Although quite detailed, this Free People dress is surprisingly versatile - worn with these beautiful Alice + Olivia heels or worn with my favourite New Balance sneakers & pea coat for a more urban twist.
If you've been following my instagram adventure (@friendinfashion) you'd see that i've arrived in New York. Another of my favourite cities in the world, which by no coincidence also coincides with NYFW.
Let the fashion week adventure begin!
