I love a good sale, and it’s made even better when the proceeds go to charity.

On Friday, I picked up this oversized, mens silk shirt from a charity flea market, hosted by my fiancĂ©’s work, along with a treasure trove of other goodies.

I’m off to Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday and I am really looking forward to scouring the Ben Than markets for some great accessories, shoes and handbags. The last time I visited, I walked away with some beautifully crafted leather handbags, so I’m more than excited about what I might find this time round.

Next post I’ll be announcing Friend in Fashion’s third fashion giveaway, so be sure to stay tuned. As a hint for those who can’t wait: Polyvorers will love this!

Vintage pendant - (Markets, Brooklyn New York)

Firstly I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who shared their travel hot-spots with me in my last post – Dreaming of a European Summer, – you guys are the best! You’ve given me some great advice, and even more places to add to my steadily growing itinerary.

From time to time I get asked questions about fashion, design, my travels, so I thought a good way to answer these would be in a video blog – my first Vlog? Blideo?

If you have any questions you’d like answered let me know [EMAIL, FACEBOOK, TWEET, FORMSPRING.ME], and I’ll be sure to include your questions too!

I’m wearing:
Pants – Lark & Wolff, Urban Outfitters (Miami)
Shirt – Kookai (Australia)
Oxfords – Urban Outfitters (New York)
Fedora – Jay Jays (Australia)

There is something about the look of neutrals against crisp white that gets me every time. Throw in a fedora and all of a sudden sipping mojitos just makes sense - have a great week guys!

X

P.S. To thank my gorgeous readers for their ongoing support, I’m working on a great fashion giveaway which I will be able to share with you in the next couple of weeks. This one is a beauty, so be sure to stay tuned.

These images capture my imagination and fill my dreams as I contemplate the European leg of our travels. Who knew travel could be so glamorous!

At this stage Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, Norway and the UK are all packed into the 5 month itinerary (which really doesn’t seem long enough to explore all the sights, sounds and fashion of these beautiful countries). I also plan to visit Egypt, Japan and return to New York and LA before heading back home to Australia.

When it comes to travel, I love taking each day as it comes - if I like a place, I stay, if I’m ready for the next adventure I move on. Although this is my dream of travel, reality soon kicks in, (planes don’t pick you up when and where you want, hotels aren’t just waiting for you when you decide to check in) and I’m back to planning an itinerary.

If you had 5 months to spend travelling Europe where would you go, and what would you see?
I’m hoping you have some travel hotspots I can pinch.

I'm definitely starting to miss thrifting of late, but nonetheless, Vietnam has some brilliant shopping of its own. Sure there is plenty of your faux designer fashion, but if you know where to look you can pick up some gorgeous pieces at a fantastic price.

I picked up this pretty little number in a small, hidden boutique in the Old Quarter for around $15. I love the vintage feel of the print, and the cut is what you would expect from a piece 10 times the price.

This week I'm looking forward to catching up with a great friend of mine, who I've known since primary school. Although I'm having an amazing time travelling, its always nice to have friends and family visit - can't wait!

Another scorching week in Hanoi! I've basically lived in this swimsuit, spending most evenings cooling off pool-side.

Lately, i've found myself mixing prints more and more. As you can see from previous posts: here and here, I'm a huge fan of stripes, and what better than mixing stripes with pretty florals.

I'm really looking forward to spending time, further exploring Vietnam, with trips to Hoi An (a mecca for tailors and shoe-makers), Ha Long Bay, and Ho Chi Minh City coming up over the next few weeks. Would love any travel tips!

From Vietnam with love

With temperatures in the 30’s (degrees) and 85% humidity, keeping cool in Vietnam is definitely somewhat of a challenge.

This last week I’ve spent much of my down-time, acclimatising by sipping coconuts, enjoying exotic tropical fruits and exploring the Old Quarter – street after street of sidewalk merchants selling everything from textiles to crafts, shoes, jewellery, silk and herbs to name but a few.

Hanoi is an absolutely beautiful city and the people are incredibly friendly. The traffic takes a bit of getting used to though, organised chaos is the best way to describe it.

I look forward to sharing more of my Vietnam adventure and fashion with you.

As I settle into my new apartment (climate and culture), I thought I'd share the magical Gossip Girl inspired world, created in the March issue of UK Cosmopolitan by Aussie photographer, Tom Corbett and fashion director, Shelly Vella.

Ordinarily I don't post editorial, but this was just too cute! I simply adore the mis-matching prints, dots and stripes, bright colours, bows, socks and heels - perfection!
